Make Your Own Perch And Foraging Toy Holder

Brackets For Building Your Own Bird Perch

Pamper your parrot with a wide variety of perch types, such as multi-branch wooden perches, rope perches, and straight functional perches in varying diameters that properly fit your birds foot size.

Because your bird is on his feet nearly 24 X 7, foot comfort is very important!

Beyond that, if you have the room, a bird ladder and a bird swing offer another variety of of bird perch to make your birds habitat even better.

As another perch option, you can cut an untreated softwood  2 by 4 to length to fit from one side of the cage to another, and drill it with holes that can be stuffed with bird treats, such as peanuts, seeds, or anything he likes,

( Round edges of 2X4 with planer, and sand smooth).

To securely fasten your 2 by 4 perch to the cage bars, you will need the "Bird Safe Birdie Brackets" . The "Birdie Bracket "  comes with bird safe hardware that allows you to easily slide the foraging perch, or a shorter foraging toy into the brackets and attach to the sides of the cage. (Read More)

The resulting perch adds another dimension to the available bird perches in the cage because it doubles as a chewable foraging toy, and it is economical because you do it yourself.
